Beks & Daniels Wedding 2011
Its always nice for couples to put their stamp on the day, Beks had a 50's style wedding dress and the maddest shoes ive seen! they were so high and colourful! they were great, the other thing about beks is shes constantly smiling! its great, i meet lots of couples, and while most are happy, they do need the occasional nudge to remember the cameras always on! I honestly dont think ive met many couples happier or certainly smile more! They travelled in a big red bus, so they could spend time with the guests it was great i enjoyed taking photos of them on the bus, they just did there own thing, its great to meet two people happy with themselves and each other it was easy to photograph them. church was in breaston long eaton, reception goosedale conference centre papplewick a great little venue, rooms nice and theres just enough grounds to take photos…thanks you two youve been great to work with ![]()

Rory & Sam's Wedding 14th July 2011
Well now..A few years back, i photographed a California gal, called Erin and her hubby Graham, Erins now a wedding planner..ok you can see whats coming now..who recommended me to Sam and Rory, who are a lovely young couple, who seem to take everything in there stride! while im somewhat older than them, i felt instantly at ease they’ve got a great mixture of old values but there very upto the minute at the same time!
Wedding was at Cressbrook Hall, in Derbyshire, ive done a couple here before, its a great venue
It was a lovely day, i know i keep saying this but im very lucky, mostly all the couples ive worked with just let me get on with things, both their families and friends were great and i seemed to be joined in in things which again is really nice, when you think about it, as a photographer you know no-one really so on the down times you have to have some communication skills, not just to talk to the couple but to interact, thats why i love my job, meeting people from different places, backgrounds,… there were a few highlights for me, Rory and Sam, went on the swings, played football and Sam went on the trampoline, minus the Jimmy choos o’course!
Rory lived in Essex for a time, and lots of his friends came, theres always people that say, southerners are not as friendly as northerners, well ive got to tell you, ive done lots of weddings all up and down the country, i think other than people talk differently, ive been lucky enough to be welcomed in from all.
The “boys” were great fun, you could see they had lots of time for Rory, who has got to be one of the nicest guys ive met, they were telling me he never gets angry and is the same all the time,
After having some banter with the “boys” and it was time to leave, The Harriet who runs Cressbrook asked me for my card, and we had a few mins chatting ( I do work too honest!) just at that time , Imran, Rory friend came up and kissed me on the cheek, saying “dont leave me marty” manlove is not dead people,….after we finished our hug, and i explained i am married… i left tired, but definatley feeling loved.. ![]()
Sam and Rory, be happy keep in touch, and dont change.. thanks for letting me share your day ![]()

Mat and Ali’s Wedding 17th July 2011
Mat and Ali, are two special people in my book, I enjoy doing my job, and meeting people sometimes its easier than others on the day, from a photographers point, its very important getting that comfortable feeling with each other, then you both can relax, and just enjoy it, and sometimes people need a little direction
and sometimes you just get someone with a great smile and a lovely nature, like Ali.
She’s one beautiful lady, but without the big headedness of one. I felt really relaxed and she was so easy to work with, Mat and his brothers and friends made me feel relaxed while they were getting ready, Mat’s a keen cyclist, and had a bit of an off before the big day, i think he jinxed me cos i feel of my mountain bike not long after!
the boys seemed to have a bit of a bond feel with the suits and bow ties, so i was annoyingly singing the bond theme while we were taking the groups pix! Unfortunately the weather was a bit awful! it rained most of the day, The church at sutton had a lovely path leading down which gave us some shelter, then at Rufford abbey, it held up a bit enough to take some pictures, of cours the lovely Yvonne and Lorraine at Rufford mill
always make me smile and we have fun!
Hope you like the photos guys! take care

Jonathan & Helen's Wedding 9th July 2011
Another hot one! Jonathan and Helen heard of me through Traceys Uncle and Aunt, Really nice couple,
Helen seemed a little nervous at the preparations but the girls were in great spirits and Helens mum looked after me
I had a great suprise at the church one of my best mates Andy was an usher!
It was great to catch up and a great suprise, it was nice to catch up with Andys wife susan and Traceys aunt and uncle too, i had to remember i was supposed to be working!
Jonathan and helen were so easy to work with, its a 2 way thing when you meet people, one they have to feel comfortable with you as a photographer, but also vice versa, If you see someones going to be hard work your never going to get the best photos! The only tricky think on the day was working with videographers, Mark was a great bloke, but its always a little tricky especially if your on a time limit, i think we worked as a team quite well! Church was Edwinstowe, and reception west retford hotel
Thanks for making it a nice day Guys, and Andy….keep in touch! ![]()

Martin & Sally's Wedding 3rd June 2011
Another great day! Sunny and hot! I meet lots of people, but Sally was among the nicest ive met, she has a lovely way about her, It was strange as Sally only lives about 2 mins away from me! Wedding was at Thoresby Hall, Notts, and at Perlethorpe church which is in the grounds, We seemed a little pushed for time, and the lady there was….erm well a bit up her own wotsit! So we had less time that we thought, but all in all a good day, Sallys Dad Pete asked for the photo of him being kissed from Sally and her bridesmaid! Look how happy he looks!
Martin was a nice guy, he seemed nervous smiling tho! We got there in the end tho, i couldnt stop him smiling!
Hope you like the photos guys! take care

Chris & Lucy's Wedding 3rd June 2011
Chris and lucys wedding was a belter weather wise, i looked like a match by the end of it my head an neck had really caught the sun!
Wedding Ceremony was held at st Philips in mansfield, a place i never knew existed! a big place too very nice inside, Chris had 2 best men, for the day,
it makes me laugh when people get the giggles at the most awkward times and Lucy got them when she was reading her vows.. ![]()
We moved onto Ringwood hall brimington chesterfield, ive done a few there now, nice venue too, they do outside weddings now there..
apart from the mad sun which gave me my match head, and it being a little on the bright side
they day went great !
A great couple! take care

Lance & Aimee's Wedding 22nd April 2011
Ive been very fortunate to have been recommended by so many people, Aimee was recommended to me by Mel and James who i’d photographed last year
Aimee’s dad Richard had a trout farm where the boys were staying it was nice to relax with them before they got ready, the girls were getting ready further up the road
the day was a scorcher! Venue for the wedding was Allerton castle in yorkshire, a lovely venue… very impressive the day went great and both Aimee and Lance were fantastic to work
with, so relaxed and wanting to help get the best pix we could it was a bit like the royal wedding! I didnt do that one tho.. ![]()
Great couple and great families, keep in touch!

Danny & Amy
Well the day after Aimee’s wedding is another Amy! This time im closer to home, the weather is still amazing a little too bright for my liking but i like to moan!
Amy got ready at the Clumber Park Hotel, which is where Tracey and i got married! (10 years next year!) So it had nice memories for me ( i have to put that as sometimes she reads my blog
Amy was a giggler, which made it really easy for me, she was very relaxed and it shows on the pictures, Although the room was small the light coming in was lovely and i love the photos
of her getting ready. After i left the girls, i went to meet Danny and the boys, I think its sometime difficult for fellas i know theres a lot riding on it for the brides but i dont think blokes realise it can be an emotional day, it hit danny i think when he saw how lovely Amy looked down the isle,
Wedding was at Rufford Abbey, one of my personal faves due to working with Yvonne there, she always looks after me, we have a laugh and its nice when you know how each other works, Yvonnes a great lady!
the only negative to Rufford is its open to the public so it can get busy and if your in the middle of a shoot, and someones walking in front of you with an ice cream….. well you know.. ![]()
Im always open to suggestions, i think thats how you grow as a photographer, sometimes im bothered about things looking cheesy, but they wanted a photo of both of them pushing the wedding car… i was a little reluctant but i think they both made it work, Danny put some proper effort in!
Well glad you liked the photos guys, thanks again and take care! M
